Most game libraries ask you to scroll. We wanted a way in that felt more like a gallery, where a curator might look at you, ask a question or two and say: you should see the one in the far room.
What the Curator reads
Three things, and only three. The paint you use most — each colour belongs to one room. The pace and jaggedness of your strokes — calm and slow reads as a gentle wash, quick and spiky as bold strokes. And the shapes — loops, long sweeps, little dabs, taps or slow deliberate marks — which map to the six techniques.
What it does not do
It does not upload your drawing, recognise pictures or learn from you. The reading happens in your browser in a few milliseconds, and the same drawing always produces the same suggestion. The note it writes tells you which clues matched, so you can see its reasoning.
It is a way of choosing a game — nothing more. It never touches rounds, balances or results.
In a hurry?
Tap one of the quick sketches under the easel and the gesture is drawn for you. ‘Surprise me’ picks the paint and the gesture as well.
