Your account
Who can join?
Adults aged 18 or over who are located in the United Kingdom.
Is there an email confirmation step?
No. You can play as soon as your free account is created.

I have forgotten my password.
Use ‘Forgot your password?’ on the log-in form. The reset link lasts 30 minutes and works once.
How do I close my account?

Can I change my screen name?
Not yet. Contact the information desk if you need help.
Play Credits
What are Play Credits?
A fictional currency used for play on Stolave. They have no monetary value.
How many do I start with?
Every new account receives 100,000 Play Credits once.
Can I buy more?
No. There is nothing to buy, and there never will be on this site.
Can I cash out, transfer or redeem credits?
No. Credits cannot be exchanged for money, prizes or anything of value, or moved to another account.
Where can I see my balance history?
Your profile shows the credit ledger recorded by the server.
Does playing here predict results in real-money gambling?
No. Social play results do not predict anything about real-money gambling.
The games
How many games are there?
Seventy illustrated works, grouped into six rooms.
Who decides a round’s result?
The server decides and records every round before the animation plays it out.
A round was interrupted. Will I be charged twice?
No. Retrying uses the same round identifier, so a round can’t be charged twice.
What does volatility mean?
The rhythm of a game — how often and how large its moments tend to be. It never predicts a result.
Where are the rules?
Inside each game, and summarised on every wall label page.
Can I compare two games?
Yes — use the Compare page to see up to three side by side.
Gallery features
What does the Doodle Curator read?
The paint you use most, the pace and jaggedness of your strokes, and their shapes. Nothing is uploaded.
Does the Curator affect my chances?
No. It only suggests a game to open.
What is Close Looking?
A detail game on the home page: name a work from a magnified detail as it pulls back.
Where is my collection saved?
In your account when signed in, so you can open it on another device. Guest collections stay in the browser and are added to your account on sign-in.
What is the visitor passport?
Your profile page. It shows the rooms you have visited and your recent activity, from recorded rounds.
What is the Curator’s challenge?
A weekly riddle describing one work. Guess it for fun — there is nothing to win.
Taking a break
How do session reminders work?
Choose a reminder every 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes in your profile; a note appears when it is due.
Can I lock my account for a while?
Yes. Player Care offers breaks of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or six months. They start immediately and can’t be shortened.
Will a password reset end my break?
No. A break stays in place until it expires.
Where can I get independent help?
GamCare offers free, confidential support in the UK. We are not affiliated with GamCare.
