People sometimes ask why a work hangs where it does. The answer is deliberately simple, because we would rather you trust the walls than wonder about them.
Rooms come from subject
Each game is placed in exactly one room according to what it depicts. A fox in a village goes to Pastorals; a clockwork bird to Automata; a crown to Regalia.
Techniques and brushwork come from the game itself
The technique on each label is the game’s own feature family, and the brushwork is its own volatility rating. We do not adjust either.
There is no ‘popular’ wall
We do not show popularity charts, player counts or ‘hot’ games, because we would have to invent them. The current exhibition is simply a set of works our curators like, and the ‘Newly hung’ wall lists the most recent additions.
